[Update 2021]We pulled the tree out, reconnected all the wires to the dimmers and everything still works. So I bumped the star from 3 to 4 since they worked all last season and continue to work and didn't break after being folded up in storage in the tree bag with suitcases thrown on top. All the sets but one even remembered to power-up to the dimmer setting.[Original]I've tried all sorts of LED light sets for our Christmas tree and none of them have gotten my wife's approval until now. She is really picky about the look of the lights and only will choose incandescent tree lights. I bought one set to try out, wired up one branch, and she loved it. She really liked the pinpoints of light, the warm color, the fact that you could hardly see the wires, and that the lights were dimmable.I really liked that it was green wire and not battery operated. Most fairy light sets currently are not.What I did was wire up each section of the artificial tree with 2 or more sets of these lights, ending with each section so at the end of the season, I don't have to take down the lights. Which hopefully works as the wires do become fragile with multiple bends in the same place.To get to the mid and top section lights, I purchased some 2.1mm x 5.5mm plug adapters (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FTH6WNS). This allowed me to leave all the control boxes at the base of the tree with the IR receivers poking out of the tree skirt. Because they are all the same controllers, one remote can control all the sets.In the photos, I put a aa battery in so you can see how small everything is. I also did a close up of the branches so you can see how the wires seem to disappear.For our 7.5' tree, it took three, 66ft sets and four, 99ft sets wrapping every other branch.Even though the sets are made from the same company, there are differences.Amazon won't let me rate each set differently so66ft is 2 stars99ft is 4 stars.Giving a 3 star average.One of my 66ft sets broke twice while stringing it up. The first time, one wire snapped so I soldered it back together. The second time, multiple wires snapped. I decided it wasn't worth fixing this set so I sent it back. It was also my last set to wire so I had experience in handling the stuff. This lowered the star rating to 3. However, unlike the 99ft version, these lights don't come wrapped on a cardboard spool which made them hard to handle so I'm lowering it 1 more star. If they can also wrap the 66ft on the cardboard spool, that would be a huge improvement in handling.I'm giving the 99ft set 4 stars because I don't know how long they will last. If they work next Christmas, when we pull the tree out of the bag, then I'll give them 5.PROS:-Bright-Dimmable-Nice warm color-Green wire-Remembers dimming setting when powered back on-One remote works for multiple sets-Wire practically disappears-Wrapped on spool (99ft)CONS:-Fragile wires. I don't think you could use this to wrap and unwrap a real tree multiple times unless you are really careful or don't wrap the branches too tight.-Not wrapped on spool making it harder to work with (66ft)-The fading seems to slowly raise the lights to full, then snap off, then repeat. It would be nice to slowly fade in and then fade out.-The strobing feature is pointless. I don't see anyone using it.TL:DR - Overall pretty good. 99ft is better than 66ft. Be careful with wiring as it is fragile.I bought this light set because I wanted cool white lights with green wires….so far so good…started putting them on tree lit…when removing lights from the wheel, they stuck…wound very tight…gave a slight tug and the lights went out…in checking, discovered that one of the very thin wires split in half….cannot be fixed. Immediately ordered another set…they came today…very, very carefully unwound them while adding them to the tree….successfully done… will have to be just as careful removing and storing them…very fragile. But they look beautiful on tree!! Just the look I wanted.Does exactly what I bought them for. Beautiful and very functionalPart of order missing fist order sent another and charging me twice. Done !!! No more ER Chen crap for me !!Slowly transitioning to these types of lights on our Christmas tree. I don’t care for the saturation of color on these. More of subtle, washed out version of the colors. Great features though!Plugged them in from the box, loved the color. 2 stars for that. Unfortunately didn't get to enjoy them. Took some time and patience to unravel them as they came loosely wound within itself. Didn't work after that. The wire broke in a few places just from unwinding them for the first time. Too delicate for me. I have others that i have had for a few years, putting them up on display, taking down, storing them, repeating each holiday season with no problems but the wires are better quality too.Part of it stopped working 2 weeks after setting them up.Purchased to light a real Christmas tree . I was able to light the tips since the lights are so lightweight . I will definitely be purchasing more ! It’s the best lit tree I’ve ever had !We spent a great deal of time looking for some lighting that would work with our existing 12V landscape lighting transformer. This string appeared to fit the bill so we bought one string to see if they would work to create some nice ambience on our deck. We mounted them around the perimeter of the pergola and connected them to a smart receptacle. The light they emit isn't overly bright and this is perfect for our application. We bought another string and mounted them on the post and beam surrounding the wrap around deck too. I cut the power cords about 15cm from the plug in adaptor and parallel connected the light strings off of the 12V output of our existing transformer. The transformer is connected to the aforementioned smart receptacle (which is GFCI protected vis a separate GFCI receptacle). We've had them for a little over a month now so we can't speak for the longevity. But, IMO, they look awesome!I know its the receiver, because i have ordered 2, and the other ones are functionning properly. when switching receiver this set of lights works too. so the receiver in this order is not working, will have to refund if seller doesnt a functionning receiverI put these lights on my Christmas tree. Loved how great they look. Each bulb themselves are tiny but strong, and all together they have a beautiful glow. This size went all around my Christmas tree and had lots extra to spare. The wire is thin & bends easily, could get tangled, so be careful. After Christmas, I wound it back onto the plastic spool it originally came on - works perfectly for safely storing til next year. Highly recommend.Disappointed with this product… bought two sets - great lighting effect in my cedars…. The lights are small and are really pretty…. Unfortunately after only two weeks of use, one of the two sets started to cycle through the various flashing modes then stopped working all together…. I have tried everything to get them to work again… no use…. Would really appreciate one day being able to buy good quality lights that last….This product is very cheap and lights are very small on a very thin cable. Not meant for outdoor use as the power is a indoor type plug in power supply. I wanted these for my outdoor patio and there were not suited for that so I returned the to Amazon.
